I wanted a lovely Christmas book to curl on up the sofa and read during the Christmas season and Calling Mrs Christmas by Carole Matthews seemed perfect. I wasn’t disappointed as I loved this story. Carole created a Christmassy story full of sparkle, cheer and love.

I picked The Little Coffee Shop of Kabul up in my local bookshop after reading the back of this book as I thought it would be an interesting read. I definitely was right! I don’t usually read books based in war zones but this book is different and Deborah Rodriguez captures what is happening in the world of women in Kabul and the struggles with tradition meeting the modern world.
