I picked the first book up in a local bookshop as it sounded like a book I would enjoy. At the time I didn’t know it was the first book of a series. These are Deborah Harkness’ first novels and overall they make an interesting, intriguing, gripping read. Historical fiction with elements of supernatural and mystery.

The Belgariad – Pawn of Prophecy by David Eddings

My husband introduced this book to me as David Eddings was the author that inspired him to read more. Intrigued I decided to give the book a go. The Belgariad – Pawn of Prophecy is an old book, published 1983 and is the first of a 5 book series. This book is the set up for an epic adventure!
