Nollaig Shona Duit (Happy Christmas in Irish)

With only a week until the magical Christmas day, my tree is decorated with shiny baubles and twinkling lights and my party dress is ready to be worn to the parties. Volunteering at a charity carol concert has also got me into the Christmas mood.

The Christmas season is also a time to curl up on the sofa and read a good book. With so many books out there, it was difficult to choose what to read this Christmas season!

One of my favourites is the classic A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. No matter how many times I read it or watch the film it is a lovely story and really gets me into the spirit of Christmas. But this year I will be cosy on my sofa reading and reviewing two recently written books – Calling Mrs Christmas by Carole Matthews and A Christmas to Remember by Katie Flynn. So in the next week please drop by to read what I thought of these books.

I am now off to put my holly wreath on my door and light a candle in the window as per some Irish Christmas traditions. Even though Santa doesn’t call anymore I still love the heart-warming feelings the season brings as it is a time for family and friends. And it is also a time to show kindness to people who may not be having a great family Christmas through charities.

What are you reading this Christmas season?
